Will UNSW 2022 exams be online?
Due to the additional measures that UNSW has adopted in relation to COVID-19, exams for 2022 will be mostly delivered online, in a similar way to 2021 exams.

It is recommended that students be available for the duration of the exam period. Students should not normally be required to sit more than 2 exams in a day. The duration of a centrally administered examination is 2 hours.

What is a take-home exam? A take-home exam, in contrast to an in-person or invigilated exam, is written outside of a supervised exam room. Rather than write during a set 3-hour period, students have a few days and up to a week to submit their exam. They also have access to their course materials during this time.

Are UNSW exams proctored?
In policy terms this means we will continue to reject remote proctoring as an integrity solution, as we have done since the earliest days of the COVID crisis. It is a flawed ‘fix’ that fails to properly replicate invigilation and causes significant privacy concerns and it is considered a last resort by TEQSA.
