How long does CIMA operational level take?
On average, students take one year to complete this level. On average, students complete the 12 professional qualification exams in four years. Most students attempt two or three exams at each sitting but they can be completed in three sittings.
What order is CIMA operational level?
CIMA’s suggested order of study is to begin with the Enterprise Pillar subject, then move to the Performance Pillar subject and then to the Financial Pillar subject. The syllabus has been designed so that, at each level, the Enterprise Pillar gives the broad context in which the Finance and Performance Pillars operate.
How long is CIMA operational Case Study?
Each subject is assessed by an objective test, and the level as a whole is assessed by a final Case Study. Remember, you’ll have to book your exam as well as your course. The Objective Tests are computer-based and are 90 minutes each, taken at a Kaplan centre or Pearson VUE test centre.

A combination of these things makes CIMA more difficult. But it’s not beyond your ability – if you’re absolutely committed.

As you progress through the CIMA qualification, you will be sent a certificate within 6 weeks from receiving the ‘pass’ result of your final exam at each level: CIMA Cert BA: completed all Certificate exams under the 2006 syllabus onwards. CIMA Dip MA: completed Operational level under the 2010 syllabus onwards.
Can CIMA be completed in 2 years?
A good friend of mine, a CIMA student, did it in 2 years and advised me not to rush my studies. However, I found creating a plan up-front gave me the drive and motivation I needed to study. After completing the first couple of certificate papers, I wasn’t finding the CIMA syllabus too challenging.
