How do you love your course?
How to Like the Course You Hate
- Go to the class. Skipping classes will only make the situation worse.
- Try. Sometimes I feel completely hopeless — I feel like simply “not caring” about the class will make it better.
- Don’t procrastinate.
- Talk to the professor.
- Engage with other students.
- Try to connect the class to something you do like.
How do you appreciate a course?
I truly appreciate you and your time you spent helping me in many occasions. Thank you very much for the course. I enjoyed every minute of your lecture as well as your marvelous sense of humor. And please give my best regards to your laptop — I sincerely hope it has fully recovered!
Why is studying so important?
Good study skills can increase your confidence, competence, and self-esteem. They can also reduce anxiety about tests and deadlines. By developing effective study skills, you may be able to cut down on the numbers of hours spend studying, leaving more time for other things in your life.
Should I study what I love?
Pursue something you love, engage in it, and let it drive your job search and your life. Studies show that to be engaged in your work, you need to find something that gives you meaning and that you enjoy doing. The desire to do what you want will allow you to engage in your work and feel inspired (see #3).
Why can’t I focus on studies?
Often times, people find it difficult to concentrate on their studies because they are overextended with other obligations. If this is you, don’t be afraid to tell people no. Just explain that you need to study and won’t have the time or energy to do so, if you help them out. Make a schedule.
What to do if you can’t study?
Here’s how you do it.
- Limit Your Session Length. The most important one.
- Don’t Focus on Results. You’re in pain — in a negative state.
- A Moment for Yourself.
- Accept Negative Emotions.
- Vary Your Study Setting.
- Stand up Walk Around.
- Change Your Study Material.
- Go Outside.
